CFturbo® Software & Engineering GmbH, with its headquarters in Dresden, was founded in 2008 and is a spin-off of the Consulting-office CFDnetwork® Engineering, a successful player on the market since 1993.

We intend to offer the most powerful and user-friendly interactive turbomachinery design platform. Simultaneously we are using the software CFturbo® in combination with commercial CAE software for ambitious consulting projects in the field of design and optimization of turbomachinery.

Our special excellence is based on the combination of IT technology and engineering. According to this our team consists of experienced CAE engineers and software developers.

Activities for students

(1) Course work

We are looking for students who wish to work in our development team as part of their course assignment, practical work or dissertation. The demanding tasks are drawn from the fields of turbomachinery, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), programming or mathematics.

Requirements:

  • Study of mechanical engineering/engineering, informatics or mathematic
  • Fluent command of German, both written and spoken
  • Very good academic record
  • Willingness, structured, target-oriented and self-reliant approach to work

(2) Side job

We are looking for students to systematically test our newly developed software. This can be performed full-time during the semester breaks or on an hourly basis parallel to lectures.

Requirements:

  • Study of mechanical engineering/engineering, preferably specialising in turbomachinery
  • Fluent command of German, both written and spoken
  • Willingness, structured, target-oriented and self-reliant approach to work

Working hours to be agreed, payment on an hourly basis.
