Main_Views_Components

The components view is divided in

1.Components list
2.Components meridional view diagram
3.List of warnings

Active components are shown colored, inactive grey.

Listview of project

The tree shows a ordered list of the projects components. The line of the selected one is marked.

After selecting a component, the ribbon changes to the project tab or to the specific one for this component type (configurable, see General).

Components can be activated and deactivated by the checkbox. A symbol shows the component type. The caption of a component can be changed by double-clicking on it.

Main_Views_Components_context

These changes as well as deleting a component are also available using the context menu.

Diagram

Main_Views_Components_dgr

The diagram shows all components of the project in a meridional view. An arrow notifies about the flow direction, caption and number are displayed as well.

For the selected component (thick border) the component's menu is shown in compact style when hovering with the mouse over it. Another component can be selected by click.

Main_Views_Components_dgr_add

By the Plus_gray symbol an additional component can be added to the project in this position. A menu shows the available component types and the option to import an existing one (see also Add component).

Main_Views_Components_dgr_interfaces

Interfaces are located between the components. The directing of coupling can be selected by the menu that appears when hovering with the mouse over the coupling symbol.

components_progression

Below the meridional view Progressions of some physical  quantities along all components can be displayed:

A        Cross section area

cm        Meridional velocity

cu        Circumferential velocity

c        Absolute velocity

α        Flow angle

Warnings

The list shows errors and warnings for the active components of the project. When possible the design step causing the message is also shown.

It depends on the opinion of the user to accept warnings or to modify the design by adequate actions to avoid them. Reasons for errors should be eliminated.

Main_Views_Components_messages

The type of a message (warning/error) is shown when hovering the mouse cursor over it. Errors are colored red, warnings orange.

If a help link is available providing additional information concerning the message, a question mark is shown next to the cursor. The help can then be opened by clicking. If the component a message belongs to is currently not selected, the component can be selected optionally.
